C6 BLEAKSTONE CITY

BloodStone Isle provides D&D fans with a wealth of detail on the places, cultures, and terrors of BloodStone Isle. Get everything you need to adventure on BloodStone Isle throughout these Gazetteers and Cyclopedias, crafted by the scribes from 13 different countries in conjunction with the creator of Vampire: The Masquerade and the World of Darkness, Mark Rein•Hagen.

Note: Read the Gazetteer First! This Cyclopedia assumes that you have read the Accursed Gazetteer and refers back to it throughout its pages.

BleakStone City is the shining pearl of BloodStone Isle: Beautiful white walls and towering ramparts, regal and standing strong in opposition to the perils of the Accused Isle. This is what the Æthenra believe, blind to the truth of what BleakStone has become. The city is crumbling, figuratively and literally. Facades are weakening from a lack of upkeep and the streets are cracked and pockmarked with potholes. Once verdant gardens and trees that lined the avenues sadly mirror the city’s fallen state. The populace moves through the necessities of their lives, from home to work, to market, to church. In BleakStone, everyone has an angle, and that one person that can be trusted is likely the last person that should be trusted. The city is unknowingly in its death rattle, to the ignorance and indifference of all but a few.

BloodStone Isle is the perfect testing ground, both for young adventurers just starting out to seek their fortunes and test their mettle, and for more tempered campaigners looking for a new challenge. Uniquely, this island can appear out of the mists in your existing campaign setting, or you can use it as an adventure locale off the shore of any setting with a coast. Later, the characters may be trapped on the island and brought to the uncanny and arcane world of Lostlorn.

This volume is a sandbox setting set on a remote vertiginous island inspired by the sword & sorcery and weird science writings of famous authors such as Burroughs, Howard, Lieber, and Moorcock. It is home to delightfully strange tribes and bizarre cultures, overgrown ruined cities, and strange gateways into lost realms from which monsters of nightmares appear in the flesh, alongside maligned antediluvian terrors.

Inside these zines, GameMasters (GMs) and players alike will find a vast array of resources for their own campaigns. It contains enough material to run a game for at least thirty or forty game sessions. So grab your swords, steel your hearts, and venture forth to solve the mysteries of BloodStone isle.

D&D 5e just became a little more dangerous and uncanny!
